SuOn student wins another Canadian table tennis tourney title!
Just recently, SuOn Academy’s students Yuwen Jiang and Yuna Yamazaki won the Quebec Big Pong Circuit in Montreal, Canada, which is one of the largest table tennis tournaments in Canada. This time the participants included the Canadian National Team, the Canadian National Youth Team, and many other masters.
Yuwen Jiang is currently on weekly coaching assignments at the Canadian National Team Training Center to help national and provincial team members improve their table tennis skills. Yuwen is a member of the Sichuan Provincial Table Tennis Team and Yuna Yamazaki has been playing table tennis since she was a child in Japan. She entered SuOn Academy for 2023-2024 school year through the Table Tennis Special Enrollment Program. The Table Tennis Special Enrollment Program is a partnership between SuOn Academy and the Canadian Table Tennis National Team Training Center, with the goal of recruiting table tennis students from around the world to receive a high quality education in Canada through the joint development of SuOn High Academy and to help develop Canada’s National Table Tennis Team and Provincial Table Tennis Teams, and ultimately have the opportunity to enroll in a high quality program at one of Canada’s top universities.
