2019年十二月“学生之星”荣誉出炉！

Students of the Month for December, ten students are pictured receiving their certificates from Principal Maria and Vice-Principal Sint. These ten students were nominated because they exemplify the character trait of COMPASSION. They are always very kind helpful to other students . They get along well with other students and they go out of their way to support their peers. We are proud of you. Congratulations to them!

12月学生之星评选主题是“Compassion（同理心）”，加拿大高中所定义的Compassion包括以下几个方面：

 

*Loves to do thougtful things to other people

热爱为其他人做体贴的事情

 

*Notices when people are hurting, and shows that they feel for them

能关注受到伤害的人，并且对这些人表现出关爱和理解

 

*Feel sad when they see someone crying or hurt

当看见别人哭泣或受伤时，感到很悲伤

 

*Listens patiently to someone’s problems, without interrupting

耐心倾听别人的问题，不打断别人的倾诉

 

*Volunteers time and resources to charity

愿意为慈善贡献时间和资源

 

*Always looks for good in people

总是能够在别人身上找到优点

*Is careful with words and actions to avoid hurting others

特别小心自己的言语和行为，从而避免给别人带来伤害

 

*Is trusting and tries to be trustworthy

愿意信任别人，并且努力变得值得被人信任

*Avoids conflicts and confrontations

避免冲突

 

*Is typically cheerful and joyful

保持愉快的情绪和状态

校长亲自倡导的“Student of the Month”(每月学生之星)活动，旨在培养同学们积极向上的生活态度，乐于奉献勇于承担的良好品格，为今后的大学生活和工作打好基础。

每个月，学校所有老师及同学根据当月评选主题，提名自己认可的学生为本月学生之星，经校长审核后公布结果，作为学生们学习的典范。而每个月的评选也都会有不同的主题，分别是：

九月： 合作
十月： 责任心
十一月： 谦逊
十二月： 同情心
一月： 诚实
二月： 尊重
三月： 包容
四月： 自律
五月： 公民意识
六月： 坚持

校长将为每位当选者亲自准备公示表扬信函，这不仅是一项殊荣，更是为同学们的大学申请累积个人资本！ 此外，每位学生之星还有一个特殊的奖励：与校长共进午餐！得到来自校长的学业建议及人生指导。
