I came to Canada as a teenager and did my degrees at York University and University of Toronto. Before becoming a teacher, I worked as a chemist in research labs andpharmaceutical industry for a few years. When I'm not at school, I enjoy reading for hours (while sipping coffee) and being outdoors e.g. hiking, kayaking or taking my niece to a baseball game. I try to travel at least once a year. Japan and Italy so far are my second most favourite countries (Canada being #1, of course!)

A message to our students:

Leaving behind your home, your family, your friends and your usual ways of life to study in a strange land and in a different language can be an overwhelming and stressful journey but we are here to help you achieve your goals, goals must be sought for with ardor and diligence. A Chinese proverb states "Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn". I encourage you to stay involved in school, take charge of your education, take responsibility for your learning and take advantage of the support and opportunities available to you at and outside school.

quote: Watch your thoughts for they become words.Watch your words for they become actions.Watch your actions for they become habits.Watch your habits for they become your character. And watch your character for it becomes your destiny. What we think, we become.Margaret Thatcher
